Caning: so many strands, so little time!

Rush Weave

Fiber rush is durable one ply paper that is twisted to resemble bull rush.  

This is commonly woven around dowel supports. 

Hand Cane

Bamboo strands hand woven across the seat or back.  we use a peg system to secure strands in place while we work.  

We also offer mat caning which requires a reed spline and does not use the peg system.

Flat Reed

Flat reed strips woven in a variety of patterns.  

Sometimes this is a wood like product and other times it is actually a flexible plastic, commonly found on patio furniture.
